Overview of Advising at UC San Diego

Undergraduate students at UC San Diego have a unique academic advising system to guide them through their academic career from orientation through graduation. Students work with College Academic Advisors as well as Department/Major Academic Advisors.

Advisors assist students in:

  • Compliance with academic regulations and policies
  • Long-term curriculum planning, along with quarterly course selection and registration
  • Exploring a wide range of academic interests, goals, and experiential learning opportunities

This website is focused on academic advisors who oversee degree requirements for undergraduate students.
