Repeating Classes
How to repeat a class
Find out if you're eligible to repeat a class for credit — plus the steps you need to take, and how a repeated course on your transcript.
Enrolling a Third Time
To attempt a class for the third time, you need permission from your College Dean of Academic Advising. Submit a Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) request for the course and explain why you need to repeat it, what caused difficulty in earlier attempts, and most importantly — what steps you will take if allowed to repeat the course.
Full-time vs. Part-time Enrollment
Full time enrollment is 12 units per quarter. Find out if you're eligible for part-time status. If you're an undergraduate student approved for part-time status, you may be eligible for reduced fees. Review the information about Part-Time Study.
