Second Annual Advisor Week - 2026

UC San Diego celebrated Advisor Week during NACADA’s Global Advising Week May 4-8. Thank you to everyone who led events and to those who participated!

  • SIO Pier Tours, led by Professors Dovi Kacev and Geoff Cook
  • Farmer's Market lunch meet-up, planned by the UAAC Social & Morale Committee, with coupons from our vendors

2025

Our first UC San Diego Advisor Week was held during NACADA’s Global Advising Week (April 28 – May 2, 2025). The week included several events to recognize advisors and exchange ideas. 

  • SIO Pier Tours, led by Professor Geoff Cook
  • Summer Session Drop-in Session, with swag provided by our Summer Session partners
  • Farmer's Market Lunch Meet-up, planned by the UAAC Social & Morale Committee
  • Team Trivia, hosted by IDEA Center Director Jackie Duerr. The competition was fierce, and the Seventh Slayers pulled off the victory!
  • Fallen Star tours at the Jacobs School of Engineering
  • Coffee with the New College, courtesy of Alex Reyes' barista skills and Eighth College's hospitality
  • Craft Center Ceramic Tile Glazing with a creative crew
  • Social Hour at Regent's Pizzeria, planned by the UAAC Social & Morale Committee
  • Yoga via Zoom led by Sixth College Advisor Hannah McCurdy
